Auditions: Julius Caesar
Be a part of an all-new adaptation of William Shakespeare’s icon drama.
Following a sold-out run of their last production, Shakespeare & Friends theater company is proud to announce auditions for upcoming shows.
On Wednesday, January 3, at 6:30 p.m., the theater troupe will hold open auditions for an original adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.
Auditions will be held at the Tryon Depot at 22 Depot Street in Tryon.
All ages, genders, and experience levels are welcome to audition. Auditions will consist of cold readings, with actors reading dialogue and monologues from the play. Actors are welcome but not required to perform prepared Shakespearean monologues while auditioning.
Performances will be held March 14–17 and 21–24, 2024, in Tryon and Asheville.

Shakespeare & Friends is a Tryon-based theater company that presents classic plays with an original twist. Following the original adaptation of Julius Caesar, Shakespeare & Friends will present the musical Floyd Collins in June and George Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man in October of 2024.
